DutiesUnder the supervision of an attorney, student will assist with initial client interview, determine case issues and planning case strategy, investigate facts of the cases, research and analyze legal sources, draft correspondence and legal memoranda, prepare appropriate forms regarding client matter before the Dept of Homeland Security, State, and Justice, maintain tickler file of deadlines and prepare regular status reports to clients

(LALDEF) is a grass roots nonprofit organization formed to defend the civil rights of Latin Americans, and facilitate their access to health care and education, as well as to advance cross-cultural understanding in the Mercer County regional area.
Time requirementsTime is flexible but will need to be available at least one late afternoon/evening per week.
Position requirementsProfessional Responsibility and Immigration Law. GPA: 2.9. Spanish competency is a must.
