Honorable Harold U. Johnson was appointed to the Bench in 2002. He has been assigned primarily to the Family Division and currently serves as the Presiding Judge of Family in Vicinage XV. Judge Johnson previously served as a Judge of the New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Court. He currently serves as Vice Chairperson of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Education, on the Supreme Court Family Practice Committee and is Co-Chairperson of the Children-in-Court and Juvenile Subcommittee thereof, the New Jersey State Domestic Violence Working Group and on Children-in-Court Improvement Committee. Judge Johnson is a member of the Cumberland County Bar Association and was President-elect of that organization at the time of his appointment to the Bench. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar. Judge Johnson has taught at Cumberland County College and since 2006, as an Adjunct Professor at the Delaware Law School of Widener University in Wilmington, Delaware. Judge Johnson received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
