Biography

John Philip Maroccia, Esq., has been practicing law in the South Jersey region for over thirty (30) years. He has been a successful member of small firms and a sole practitioner concentrating in the area of local government law, personal injury, commercial and residential real estate, business law, municipal court and business litigation. Throughout his thirty (30) years John has represented seven different municipalities in the Camden County area as well as being a former Assistant County Counsel for Camden County. John has been involved in many reported decisions in the state courts of New Jersey. In addition John has served as the Mayor and member of Township Committee of Pennsauken Township from 1978 to 1984.

He has received numerous awards for his governmental and community activities including Young Lawyer of the Year of the New Jersey State Bar Association in 1985, Super Lawyer for New Jersey Magazine in 2006 and Man of the Year from the New Jersey Sons of Italy in 2006. In addition to his private practice, John currently serves as an Adjunct Professor here at Rutgers where he teaches government law. John Maroccia is also a member of the Camden County, Burlington County and New Jersey State Bar Associations, along with membership in ATLA - NJ.
