Explores legal, moral, and ethical issues raised in the context of reproduction and reproductive technologies. Covers various theories underlying bioethical discourse, including feminist theories of bioethics, and selected laws and policies that govern the use of reproductive technologies and the regulation of pregnancy and parenting. Topics explored include assisted reproduction and in vitro fertilization, maternal-fetal conflicts, abortion, sex selection, genetic screening, embryo experimentation, stem cell research, and surrogate mothering.
