Course Description

601:579. VIRTUAL COURTROOM ADVOCACY (1 credit-Pass/Fail)

Lore

Virtual courtroom advocacy is different from in-person trials. Old courtroom habits may not work successfully in a remote setting. As the courtrooms of the future increasingly digitize, the virtual litigator must master new types of technology, new courtroom protocols and most importantly, learn how to overcome the challenges of persuasion compounded by distance and electronic transmission. Virtual Advocacy teaches students best practices for effective advocacy in a remote setting.  (Jointly offered with Syracuse University College of Law)
