This course will focus on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption laws with extraterritorial reach. The course will explore issues in the enforcement of these laws, including a historical perspective and current trends, and accompanying policy implications. The course will also consider the corporate compliance ramifications of these laws, with particular attention to practical issues and real-world examples. Taught by adjunct faculty who are former federal prosecutors and in-house lawyers, this course is recommended for students with an interest in international law, criminal law, or ethics and compliance.
