Duties | An extern in my office would conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda analyzing the issues presented in appeals being considered by the court. The extern is also responsible for assisting me in processing emergent motion applications and for proofreading and cite-checking opinions prior to their release. The extern will also handle inquiries from attorneys and self-represented litigants. The extern also has the opportunity to attend and observe oral argument on appeals pending before the court. | |

Position requirements | Good research, writing and interpersonal skills. Journal experience is preferred, but not required. This is a good match for students interested in an appellate assignment.
