Biography

Professor Sclar earned her A.B., with distinction, from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was notes and comments editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Before joining the Rutgers faculty, she practiced law with a firm in San Francisco and with a federal government agency in Washington, DC, and was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School. When not reading, teaching or writing about the law, Professor Sclar often can be found in her kitchen experimenting with yet another recipe and wondering how to squeeze in more shelves to hold the latest additions to her collection of over 800 cookbooks.
