Elizabeth Moore is the Director of Communications for Rutgers Law School's Newark location and is responsible for all aspects of communications for the Newark law school. She writes news releases, stories, website content, social media posts and copy for programs and brochures for the law school, and showcases its faculty, staff, students, clinics, centers and alumni. She also works closely with the Development Department. She's responsible for external outreach to media outlets and showcases faculty to the media. She oversees annual events including Giving Day, and is the the communications liason with the Rutgers Law School communications team in Camden. She's served as an evaluator for the Honors Living and Learning Center and as a recurring speaker for Staff Development Day.

Elizabeth Moore brings experience from multiple media platforms and public relations experience to the job of Director of Communications. A former media relations expert for Drew University, she also has held Communications Director positions with Clara Maass Medical Center and with Essex County. She hosted the television show "Inside Essex County" from 2008-2010. While at Clara Maass, she oversaw the medical center's quarterly magazine and was responsible for bringing in high-profile speakers to the hospital's events.

Prior to working in public relations, she supervised 12 hyperlocal news websites as a regional editor for AOL, overseeing a staff of 13. She also spent 15 years as a reporter and columnist with the Star Ledger of Newark. Previous to that, she worked  as a reporter for The Oregonian in Portland, Ore. Her work has appeared in Montclair Magazine, The Huffington Post, and other publications.

A native of Southern California, she is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she was the Editor of The Daily Californian. She also works as an adjunct professor, teaching media writing, journalism and public speaking at two universities in Northern New Jersey. She is currently a student in the Master's in Communications Program at Rutgers University.
