Biography

Michael DiChiara has twenty years of experience in employment law.  He has represented employers and employees in such diverse industries as health care, financial services, retail, and manufacturing. He has represented clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and in administrative proceedings, and has argued cases before the Second and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. His experience includes cases involving sexual harassment, age, race, gender, disability, religious and national origin discrimination, as well as unlawful retaliation.  Michael has also represented clients in wage and hour class actions.  

After he graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Michael performed volunteer work for a year in Brockton, Massachusetts where he worked with mentally ill adults. He then attended Boston College Law School. Since that time, he has maintained his commitment to service work and volunteering by being involved with various charitable and non-profit organizations.  He is also a volunteer attorney for Legal Services of New Jersey. 

Michael's work experience includes:

  • Three years as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York
  • Several years as an associate at national law firms
  • An adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ, where he has taught employment law classes since 2007
