Maritza Rodríguez is the sole proprietor of the Rodríguez Law Firm, LLC. where she practices family law in New Jersey. She also handles international family law cases - specifically International Child Abduction Cases.  Her office is primarily located in Newark.  She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Comparative Literature from Rutgers College and attended Rutgers Law School Newark as an Evening Student. She is admitted in New Jersey, the Federal District Court of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  Prior to setting up her own firm, Maritza worked in state government and in publishing.   She is the former President of the Rutgers Law School Newark Alumni Association and now Co-Chair of the newly formed Rutgers Law Alumnae Network. She is an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School teaching Family Law and How to Start a Solo Practice/ Small Firm. She coaches students and young lawyers on how to identify and leverage their strengths to improve their networking and business development skills.  Maritza has also been involved with and held various leadership positions with state and national bar organizations.
