This program will cover current issues in immigration law, including: 

  • I-601A waivers for unlawful presence, U visas, etc.
  • immigration consequences of criminal convictions in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania
  • ethical considerations when dealing with immigrant clients

The speakers will also discuss common pitfalls and mistakes made by immigration practitioners and non-immigration practitioners in dealing with immigrants and their particular issues. This program will give practical tips to non-immigration lawyers that are thinking about expanding their practice to serving immigrants.

NJ CLE Information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 3.6 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1.2 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism.
