Rutgers Newark Center for Immigration Law, Policy, and Justice is hosting a Colloquium on Sanctuary from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 in the Baker Courtroom at the Center for Law and Justice at 123 Washington St. in Newark.

The colloquium will explore  the legal, cultural and political meaning of "sanctuary" laws, policies and practices. Speakers include Professor Katherine Franke from Columbia Law School and Amy Gottlieb, Associate Regional Director of American Friends Service Committee.
