Please join us for the award-winning movie The Hurricane, which tells the story of middleweight boxer Rubin "The Hurricane" Carter, who was convicted of committing a triple murder in a bar in Paterson, New Jersey. His sentence was set aside after he spent nearly 20 years in prison. The film explores Carter's life and his fight aginst the conviction.

The film begins at 5 p.m. in Room 10 at the Center for Law and Justice at 123 Washington St. in Newark.

Refreshments will be provided. After the movie, Professors Laura Cohen and Lou Raveson will lead a discussion.
