Returning to his alma mater is New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Faustino J. Fernandez-Vina '81, who held his ceremonial swearing in as a new associate justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court at Rutgers University–Camden in 2014. Justice "Fuzzy" also served as commencement speaker during the 2016 law school graduation in Camden.
