Rutgers Law School offers a wide array of scholarship opportunities to support our students, thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends of the law school, as well as from funds allocated by the law school.
All admitted students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships as part of the admissions process; no separate scholarship application is needed.
These awards are based on a wide range of criteria, including:
- Financial need
- Academic promise as evidenced by undergraduate cumulative GPA and LSAT score
- Other accomplishments such as graduate work or professional experience
There are a limited number of the various scholarship awards available for each entering class, and students are encouraged to apply early for scholarship consideration. Specific award terms are detailed in individual student scholarship letters.
Dean’s Merit Scholarships are available to students at both locations of Rutgers Law School and are renewable provided an acceptable level of academic performance is maintained. These awards are offered to students with a history of academic achievement and show great promise for the study of law. Grants range from $3,000 to full tuition and may last for the duration of your legal education at Rutgers.
