Hispanic National Bar Association's Moot Court Competition
The Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition brings together over 30 teams of law students from the nation?s top law schools to argue a case currently pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Intramural Mock Trial
This competition is conducted in the fall in three separate rounds and students are scored on an individual and team basis. The highest scoring students may be offered positions on Rutgers Trial Advocacy Competition Team which competes regionally against other law schools.

National Black Law Students Association Constance Baker Competition
Regional competitions consist of a maximum of 18 teams. Rounds simulate a trial proceeding where each team, consisting of four members, offers opening statements, direct and cross-examination of witnesses, and closing arguments. Advocates are evaluated on their overall courtroom presence, command of the Federal Rules of Evidence and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, teamwork, and timeliness and accuracy of objections. The National competition is likewise compromised of the top three placing teams from each of NBLSA's six regional competitions. There is no award associated with this recognition.

Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court
This is a two semester course where students prepare for an appellate-style argument regarding a matter of international law. During the first semester, students write a memorial (international law brief) and prepare an oral argument for an intramural competition. The top students are selected by the International Law Moot Court advisor to participate in the interscholastic competition, which takes place in Washington, D.C. in early March.

Trial Advocacy Competition
This team is composed of the highest scoring students in the Intramural Mock Trial Team fall competition. The Trial Advocacy Competition competes regionally against other law schools.
