The field of estate planning is evolving in response to the huge increase in the prevalence of blended families, the liberalization of estate taxation, increased life expectancy, and the estimated $40 trillion that will pass between generations in the first half of this century. Topics include wealth transfer taxation, charitable planning, retirement planning, prudent investing and fiduciary responsibility, international estate planning, asset protection, planning for remarriage, disability and aging, and an examination of commonly used trusts.
