Biography

I am a graduate of Georgetown University, C'69 and Rutgers Camden Law School, C'73. Following graduation from law school, I opened my own office as a general practitioner of law in Philadelphia.  After several years of private practice, I decided to pursue a career in public service, joining the Office of the New Jersey Attorney General, Division of Law, where I served the next 25 years first as Deputy Attorney General and then as Senior Deputy Attorney General. In this capacity I represented various public agencies, including: the New Jersey Department of Labor, enforcing Child Labor and Minimum Wage laws; the New Jersey Division of Investment, providing legal advice in connection with the State's investment of over 10 billion dollars of pension funds; and both the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, for which agencies I rendered general legal advice in connection with the making and enforcing of development loans to New Jersey businesses and in connection with the agencies' real estate development transactions.

Following my retirement from the State's Attorney General's Office in 2002, I have been teaching at the law school as adjunct professor in commercial and business law. I also have been teaching as adjunct instructor for the Rutgers Camden School of Business, where I teach a course in business law.
