Biography

Lori Ann Buza, Esq., is an attorney and law professor with a diverse background in the law as well as in physical and mental wellbeing.

Professor Buza teaches law at Rutgers Law School in Camden, instructing Alternative Dispute Resolution and Wellness for the Legal Community.  Created by Professor Buza, the Lawyer Well-Being Course is the first ever taught at Rutgers Law School-Camden. She also teaches for the undergraduate and graduate programs at Saint Peter’s University (SPU). As a tenured, full professor of law at SPU, she teaches Property, Contracts, the UCC, Employment Law, and Agency & Business Organizations. She also Chairs the SPU Law and Accounting Department, and she is the Director of the Women’s Advancement & Leadership Initiative at SPU.

Professor Buza is an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association providing arbitration services for the Employment Panel. She currently works as Counsel with KSBranigan Law PC, with a focus on employment law, alternative dispute resolution, and training on well being, mindfulness, and creating respectful bias-free environments. She previously worked as an Associate with the law firm of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, PA, with a focus on administrative law, real estate and school law.  She was also appointed as Commissioner of the Raritan Township Municipal Utilities Authority where she served from 2015-2018. Professor Buza is an active member of the NJSBA, the NJWLA, the NAWL, the HCBA, the GSBA and the HBANJ. Buza is the Co-Chair of the Lawyer Well-Being Committee for the NJSBA and the Chair of the Lawyer Wellness Committee for the HCBA; she also serves as a member of the Editorial Board for the NJ Lawyer Magazine.

Professor Buza has published dozens of legal articles in numerous law journals, and she specializes in mindfulness and well-being coaching and instruction for lawyers, business professionals, as well as for public and private entities.  She is a sought-after presenter and motivational speaker on Lawyer Well-Being and Mindfulness. Buza has been certified in Mindfulness (Levels I, II, III and Master), Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Bodyflow (Yoga/Pilates/Tai Chi) and has been a practicing Martial Artist for over 25 years.
