Biography

Professor Hull received her B.A. summa cum laude from Ohio State University and holds a Ph.D. in history from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of Georgia Law School. She has published widely in the field of legal history and was awarded the Erwin Surrency Prize by the American Society for Legal History in 1990 and the Scribes Book Award in 1997. Her most recent books are Roscoe Pound and Karl Llewellyn: Searching for an American Jurisprudence (University of Chicago Press) and Roe v. Wade: The Abortion Rights Controversy in American History (University of Kansas Press, 2001). She is also co-editor of the book series Landmark Law Cases and American Society. Professor Hull teaches Contracts, Elderlaw, and courses in American Legal History and Jurisprudence.
