We are excited to announce that we will be providing bar grants to graduating students who need financial assistance as they prepare for the bar exam this summer. As we all know, bar study is stressful in the very best of times, and we remain in times that are extremely difficult. Our graduating students have endured significant disruption in their education, illness, increased caregiving responsibilities, lost income streams, and more. To the extent that we can help them navigate this last step to their careers in law, we are glad to be able to do so. In fact, some of our peer schools have had these programs in place for some time, and this is an opportunity for us to provide similar relief to our graduates, which will allow them to focus on studying.

As we did last year when we created a program to provide economic relief for any student who wished to apply for it and qualified, we are designating all donations to the Law School Excellence Fund between now and June 30, 2021 for bar grants for graduating students. The Deans will seed the pot with $55,000 and hope that many of you will join us in this endeavor so that we can put our graduates in the most advantageous position possible as they prepare for this very high stakes exam. As always, we are deeply grateful for all that you do for Rutgers Law!
