Ms. Acevedo works with students on all aspects of career planning and manages the judicial clerkship application program. She received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.S. in Political Science from the University of Scranton. Prior to joining Rutgers Law School, Ms. Acevedo served as the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Domestic Violence Bureau in the Office of the Bronx District Attorney. She served as a trial assistant in the Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Bureau; a trial assistant in the Domestic Violence Bureau, where she was the lead prosecutor in jury and bench trials and suppression hearings; and as Supervisor before her promotion to Deputy Chief. Ms. Acevedo oversaw the internship program in the Domestic Violence Bureau, and conducted dozens of interviews for office-wide positions. She has presented C.L.E. courses on trial advocacy topics and grand jury presentations.
