Student Ambassador Spotlight

Austin earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. Before attending Rutgers, he was a research scientist and administrator at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, working on developing cancer immunotherapies. He plans to pursue a career in patent litigation. On campus, he is the President of the Student Bar Association and the American Constitution Society. He also serves as an editor of the Rutgers University Law Review and as a Co-Chair of the Hunter Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Mary earned a B.S. in Public Health with High Honors from Rutgers–New Brunswick. At Rutgers Law, Mary is Co-President of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society, Vice-Chair of the Moot Court Board, Managing Research Editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal, and a Student Bar Association e-board member. Mary interned with Judge Jamel K. Semper, U.S.D.J., Nokia, and Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer where she will return as an Associate in Land Use and Environmental Law in 2027.

Kayla has a B.S. in Music Business and a background in music. She plans to pursue a career in entertainment and/or intellectual property law, with an emphasis on copyright policy and regulation. She is originally from Houston, TX, and now lives in Philadelphia. At Rutgers, Kayla is the Co-Founder of the Music Law and Licensing Association, Vice President of the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Association, and a member of the Rutgers Business Law Review.

Catherine is from Fair Haven, NJ, and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University in 2025. At Rutgers Law, she is Marketing Coordinator for the Society for Corporate Law and Governance, an Associate Editor for the Women's Rights Law Reporter, and a member of the Education and Health Law Clinic. During her 1L summer, she worked in the Employment, Labor, and Workforce Management practice group at Epstein Becker Green in NYC, and will return as a 2L summer associate.

A North Jersey native, Alessandra graduated from Florida Atlantic University, earning a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems with a concentration in Cybersecurity. She began at Rutgers Law School in Fall 2025 and plans to pursue a career in corporate law following graduation.

Ayanna is a part-time student who works full-time in the Office of Public Safety for the City of Philadelphia. She earned a B.A. in Public Relations from Rowan University and an M.P.A. from Delaware State University. After college, Ayanna worked in higher education, lobbying, and policy advocacy. As a Social Justice Scholar, she spent her first summer with the Defender Association of Philadelphia as their first overnight intern. She aims to use her law degree to combine public policy with legal advocacy for underrepresented communities.

Amanda Merovitz earned a B.A. in Communications and Journalism from the University of Delaware. She is originally from Cherry Hill, NJ, and now lives in Philadelphia. She is currently a 1L and serves as a Representative for the Jewish Law Students Association. Amanda is excited to explore different areas of law and discover where her interests and career aspirations take her.

Julia earned a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. She participated in Camden’s Summer Jump Start Program and is a proud member of the Minority Student Program. She currently serves as Managing Development Editor on the Rutgers Computer and Technology Journal. Julia has externed in the Office of General Counsel at Rowan University, interned with Fleischer, Suglia, Dopke & Domowitch, P.C. this past summer, and will be clerking for the Honorable Linda A. Galella, J.S.C following graduation.

Bailey attended Regent University, where she received her B.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. Upon graduating, Bailey became a social worker for the Investigations Division of Child Protective Services in Chesapeake, VA, where she discovered her passion for child advocacy. Over the past year, she has interned with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Children and Family, and currently serves as President of the Family Law Society.

Melissa is from Ocean City, NJ, and earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont before working as a project manager in renewable energy and local government. She is Vice President of the Environmental Law Society and the Real Estate & Land Use Law Society, and a Staff Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. She has interned with PennFuture and serves as a judicial extern with the NJ Superior Court Appellate Division. Melissa is pursuing a career in environmental, land use, and business law.

Loren attended Kean University, where he earned a B.A. degree in political science. He was born and raised in Edison, NJ. Loren has worked in law enforcement for 16 years, attaining the rank of Police Lieutenant. During the course of his career, he has worked in radio patrol, criminal investigations, and professional standards. Loren is currently a 1L evening student.

A northern Virginia native, Margaret graduated from Allegheny College in 2020, earning a B.S. in Global Health Studies and English, with a Dance and Movement Studies minor. Margaret has also earned her MPH from the University of Pennsylvania in 2023. After nearly five years of working in public health, local government and the nonprofit space, Margaret began at Rutgers Law School – Camden in 2026 and aspires to pursue a career in health or disability law. She is a proud member and 1L Representative of the Jewish Law Student Association.

Kimberly is from Florida and earned degrees in Philosophy, Psychology, and Criminology from Butler University. She is interested in pursuing a career in public interest and constitutional law. At Rutgers Law, she is a member of the Social Justice Scholars Program and serves as the 1L Representative for the Student Bar Association and C.O.U.N.S.E.L. She is also involved in the Women’s Law Caucus, Criminal Law Society, Association of Public Interest Law, First Generation Law Students, If/When/How, and the Constitutional Law Society.

A native of Old Bridge, NJ, Dyllan is a graduate of The College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Finance. At Rutgers Law School, he is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Corporate Law and Governance Society, and the Tax Law Society.

Brianna attended the University of Florida, where she earned a B.S. in Public Health and a B.A. in English. She is originally from St. Augustine, Florida, and now lives in South Jersey. Over the past year, she interned at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in the civil & criminal division and volunteers with the Camden County Bar Association. At Rutgers, she currently serves as the President of the Health Law Society and a Staff Editor of the Rutgers Business Law Review. Brianna is interested in pursuing a career in health law.

Will Corliss is from Barnegat, New Jersey, and earned a B.A. in English and Psychology from Villanova University in 2025. He is currently a Staff Editor for the Business Law Review and spent his 1L summer interning for a family court judge in Monmouth County. Following graduation, he plans to pursue a career in family law.

Jacob earned a B.S. in Business Management at TCNJ, where his studies focused on the intersection of business, law, and psychology. He has completed internships in the music and entertainment industry, the life sciences industry, and with Congressman Thomas Kean Jr. Born in Chicago and raised in New Jersey at a young age, Jacob plans to pursue a career in public interest law following graduation.

Miriam earned a B.A. in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from John Jay College (CUNY). She is a clinical student and Fellow in the Immigrant Rights Clinic and a Fellow at the Center for Security, Race, and Rights (CSRR). Miriam is a member of the MSP and serves as a Staff Editor on the Journal of Law and Religion. She is passionate about advancing immigrant justice and advocating for marginalized communities.

Mike earned a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Vermont while assisting the men's hockey coaching staff. Mike then worked as a litigation paralegal while assisting the Boston Bruins front office during lunch breaks and evenings. As a 1L, Mike was the Sports & Entertainment Law Society's NIL Ambassador, spearheading the formation of a legal NIL externship with Rutgers Athletics. This summer, Mike interned at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General and is interning for the Philadelphia Flyers legal team this fall.

Anamaria is a part-time student at Rutgers Law School, an experienced full-time medical provider, practice founder, and clinical director. She holds an EU Doctor of Dental Surgery, a Master's of Health Science, and a Doctor of Medical Science. A multilingual immigrant, entrepreneur, mother of three, and first-generation college and law student, she founded NARA to support abuse survivors. Her interests include trial advocacy, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, health law and regulation, and medical and scientific patents.

From Hamilton, NJ, Danny graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2025 with a Bachelor's in Political Science. Before attending Rutgers, Danny worked as a Labor and Employment Paralegal at Crivelli, Barbati, & DeRose, a small law firm in Hamilton, New Jersey. He also gained internship experience at the New Jersey Governor's Office and the US House of Representatives. At Rutgers, he is currently a member of the Music Law and Licensing Association, the Contract Law Society, and the Intellectual Property Association.

Emmeline is a 1L at Rutgers Law School. Originally from Medford Lakes, New Jersey, she earned a B.A. in Sociology from Montclair State University. In 2024, she was selected as a Duke Pre-Law Fellow and, this past summer, participated in Rutgers Law School’s Summer Jump-Start Program. She is interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or family law and is excited to grow within the Rutgers Law community.

Thomas earned a B.A. in Politics from the Catholic University of America in D.C. He grew up in four different states and now resides in Philadelphia. He brings a diverse background in public advocacy, including internships with The Office of U.S. Sen. Benjamin Cardin and The Center for American Progress. Most recently, he worked as a Litigation Paralegal at Malloy Law Offices, a personal injury firm located in Bethesda, MD. A lifelong advocate of pediatric patients, he is interested in pursuing a career in public interest law.

Mike is a part-time evening student at Rutgers Law School and a New Jersey State Trooper with more than a decade of law enforcement experience. Originally from Princeton, he earned a B.S. in Entrepreneurship Studies from Rider University and an MBA. A father of four, Mike began law school in his 40s while continuing his full-time career. As a nontraditional student, he understands the challenges of returning to school and balancing law school with an established career and family.

Mia earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Public Relations from the University of Delaware. She began Rutgers Law School in Fall 2024, where she is currently a clinical student and Lexis Student Representative. Mia currently interns with a law firm, where she works primarily within the family law practice. Following graduation, she will serve as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Hertzberg in the Civil Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.
