Biography

Dean Regina has led the Office of Student Affairs at Rutgers Law School in Newark since 2016. She is responsible for all services provided by the Office of Student Affairs, including general counseling, academic advising and support, crisis intervention and referral. She assists students with navigation of the Character & Fitness portion of the bar admission process and acts as chief liaison with NJ Board of Bar Examiners. Under Dean Regina’s supervision, the Student Affairs team plans and executes first-year orientation, all graduation activities as well as all professional development and wellness programming. She serves as Law School’s chief ADA compliance officer, working with the campus Office of Disability Services to determine and implement appropriate accommodations for over 150-200 law students in a given year. 

She works with campus offices such as Student Life and Leadership, Residence Life, Title IX and Community Standards where appropriate. Among other things, she oversees production of the Law School’s weekly Monday Memo newsletter, assists in the administration and coordination of exams and registration, coordinates the administration of bar grants, and provides general guidance to the SBA and student organizations. 

Dean Regina received her JD from Rutgers Law School and her BA in History and Education from Northwestern University. Prior to becoming the Dean of Students at Rutgers Law in 2016, she was the Law School’s Director of Academic Support, and before that she was a Clinical Law Fellow in the Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic. After graduating from law school, she practiced as a litigation associate in the New York office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.  A mother of four, she enjoys spending time with her kids, gardening, going to the beach and fishing with her family.
