Biography
Carol Johnston specializes in attorney ethics law. She is in private practice at Carol Johnston Ethics Law in Princeton. From 2006 to 2025, Carol Johnston answered the attorney ethics hotline in the New Jersey Judiciary and served as staff and counsel to the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics, Committee on Attorney Advertising, and Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law. Before joining the New Jersey Judiciary, Carol served for 15 years as a trial and appellate lawyer in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Division of Law. She also served as Department Ethics Officer and was a charter member of the Prosecutors Code of Ethics Committee.
