Caroline Young
Senior Associate Dean for Information Services, and Associate Professor
Biography
Caroline Young is the Senior Associate Dean for Information Services and Associate Professor. She has previously served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Associate Dean for Distancing Learning, and the Associate Director of the Law Library. As the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, she was responsible for all academic program matters. As Associate Dean for Distance Leaning she coordinated all remote instruction for Rutgers Law School and initiated and monitored remote instruction programs and services. As the Associate Director of the Law Library, she oversaw the provision of all reference services at Rutgers Law Library serving the faculty, students and general public by supervising Public Services and Access Services. She teaches Social Justice in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Legal Research. Before coming to Rutgers, Caroline worked at a legal research company and was a medical information professional at the New York University School of Medicine. She is active with AALL and NJLLLA. She is the Past-Chair of the Computer Service Special Interest Section, one of the largest sections of the American Association of Law Libraries, and the Past President of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association. Her research interests include information management and systems, medico-legal research, and the preservation of legal materials.
