Lashing Back: Ending The "Undeclared War" Against Women Seeking Justice

The symposium will examine recent legal successes as well as the challenges faced by practitioners advocating on behalf of survivors of gender-based violence. The event is inspired, in part, by witnessing the litigation, media coverage, and political backlash surrounding E. Jean Carroll’s $83 million defamation judgment against Donald Trump. Indeed, we are thrilled to announce that Roberta (“Robbie”) Kaplan, who is known for her groundbreaking advocacy for gender equity and was lead counsel in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation suit, will take part in a featured conversation about the role of lawyers in protecting survivors seeking justice.
