Biography

Herb Hinkle has been an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School in Camden for nearly 20 years teaching estate planning, trusts and estates, federal income tax and elder law. He practiced law privately for 30 years and before that served as director of a state agency providing advocacy services to people with disabilities. Mr. Hinkle received his J.D. from Rutgers and an LL.M. (taxation) from Temple University School of Law. He is one of approximately 20 recipients of the Rutgers Law Armitage Award for distinguished legal service and was voted Adjunct Professor of the Year several times. Upon his retirement from practice a decade ago, Mr. Hinkle received lifetime achievement awards from virtually all of the major disability organizations in New Jersey for his work on behalf of people with disabilities.
