Rutgers Law School’s Power of Attorney (POA) podcast has been named as a Finalist in the “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion - Podcast or Audio” category of the third annual Anthem Awards.

POA is now up for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Anthem Award, as chosen by the Academy in each category, and the Anthem Community Voice Award, supported by the online public. Online voting is open now through December 21. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. These awards are the mark of distinction for social impact excellence. This year’s competition received over 2,000 entries from more than 30 countries.

Produced by Rutgers Law School, “The Power of Attorney" is an inside look at the power of a legal education for everyone and what it means to be a lawyer. The law impacts every sector of society and every aspect of our lives. At a time when many ask, “Why law?,” we ask, “What more can law do?”

This finalist recognition highlights the work of previous POA co-hosts and former Rutgers Law Co-deans Kimberly Mutcherson and Rose Cuison-Villazor. They interviewed several guests across the legal spectrum on a wide variety of topics from business to sports and everything in between. POA is produced by Rutgers Law Digital Marketing and Media Producer Nathaniel Nakao and executive produced by Shanida Carter, Rutgers Law Director of Marketing and Communications.

The Anthem Awards was launched in 2021 by The Webby Awards in response to the prevalence social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to act in their communities.
