Introducing Rutgers Law Alumni Connect
Rutgers Law School is excited to announce the launch of our new online alumni directory — Rutgers Law Alumni Connect. The platform provides a dedicated space for all Rutgers Law alumni to connect with one another, make and receive referrals, join practice area groups, share career updates, find classmates, and stay connected with the school.
Creating Rutgers Law Alumni Connect has been one of Dean Johanna Bond’s strategic priorities to strengthen engagement across our combined Newark–Camden community of more than 23,000 alumni. Dean Bond remarked on this exciting milestone and shared her vision for the new platform and what it will bring to the Rutgers Law community: "I am thrilled about the opportunities Rutgers Law Alumni Connect will unlock for our entire Rutgers Law community. This new online hub is a major step forward in our Strategic Plan goal of establishing a robust culture of community, collaboration, and connection. Through this platform, we’re not just linking thousands of our esteemed alumni. We’re creating meaningful pathways for alumni to support students, engage with faculty, stay informed, develop individual careers, and connect with one another by practice area and shared interests."
The “Live Feed” will serve as the central hub for all community communications. Here, alumni will find news features, case referrals, mentorship opportunities, and event announcements. As the network grows, we’ll also unveil exclusive perks for active members.
Membership is free, and we encourage alumni to invite fellow classmates to join and spread the word about this exciting new resource. A select group of alumni have already helped to test the platform, and they’re enthusiastic about welcoming the broader Rutgers Law community to join them.
Jonathan Amira ’14, the first alumnus to explore Rutgers Law Alumni Connect, said, “Rutgers Law Alumni Connect is a breakthrough for Rutgers Law alumni. It gives us a powerful new way to stay connected with one another—both as professionals and as classmates. It’s a platform built on the shared values and experiences that make the Rutgers Law community so strong.”
Babatunde Odubekun ’17, another early adopter of the platform, shared his experience: “It’s always exciting to bring former classmates and colleagues together, and with Rutgers Law Alumni Connect we have a new, better way to do just that. I’m already a fan of the platform and can’t wait to see what comes next as Rutgers Law continues to innovate and strengthen alumni ties, both to the school and to each other.
Our first milestone: 1,000 activated alumni profiles within the next 12 months. By September 2026, we’ll expand the network to include students, creating opportunities for alumni and student mentorship and engagement (with the option to opt out of student connections if preferred.)
