Make a Gift‣

The simplest way to make a gift is by cash, check, or credit card. Outright gifts can be made once or on a recurring basis. Gifts by card can be made here or at the link above. You may also send a check payable to "Rutgers University Foundation" to Accounting Dept, Rutgers University Foundation, PO Box 193, 335 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. When making a gift by check, please indicate "Rutgers Law School" in the memo field, and note whether you would like your gift to go to a particular program.

One of the most meaningful ways to support the law school is by making an estate gift. Generous and thoughtful planning today will have an extraordinarily positive impact on tomorrow’s law students. Some of the many types of planned gifts to consider are: bequests through wills, charitable trusts, beneficiary designations, life insurance policies, and life income gifts.

A gift of appreciated securities may provide you with enhanced tax benefits. Gifts of appreciated stock avoid capital gain tax and provide a charitable tax deduction all while supporting Rutgers Law School.  Gifts of stock are easily completed by electronic transfer.  

In addition to their ongoing annual support, many of our alumni and friends pledge gifts that benefit specific areas where they wish to make a significant impact.  Pledges are be paid over time, usually over five years. Scholarship support is vital to achieving our ongoing goal of access for the brightest students, regardless of their financial situation.  Support can be given for two types of named scholarships: endowed scholarships, which provide a lasting investment and annual scholarships that can be renewed each year.  Both types of gifts can be pledged up to a five year period, and both can be named– after yourself, your family or a faculty member that greatly influenced your academic career.  Your affiliation with this scholarship could remain anonymous, should you choose.
