Biography

Ted Kittila is the Managing Partner of Halloran Farkas + Kittila LLP, and is resident in the Wilmington, Delaware office of the firm.  Mr. Kittila has served as lead counsel on a number of complex corporate and commercial disputes, including expedited litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery (where Mr. Kittila clerked from 2000 to 2001), litigation involving Delaware limited liability companies and contract interpretation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and litigation in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court both in Delaware and nationally involving Delaware-related entities.  Mr. Kittila routinely practices in courts in other jurisdictions throughout the U.S. and has appeared in every Court in the State of Delaware.

As former Chair of the International Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, Mr. Kittila has spoken on legal ethics in international practice and at various CLE seminars on the challenges facing the local practitioner.  Mr. Kittila's practice has routinely included international clients, including the Government of Nevis with respect to matters in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware involving the closure of Nevis' largest employer.

Mr. Kittila frequently counsels international and domestic clients on Delaware law and litigation practice, procedure, and strategy, including advising hedge funds on current developments in M&A litigation.  Mr. Kittila has provided expert testimony on Delaware law for use in both domestic and international litigation.

Mr. Kittila has taught Trial Advocacy as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School since 2023.

Mr. Kittila is a 2000 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (cum laude).  Mr. Kittila received an Honors of Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware Honors Program (summa cum laude) in 1996.  Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Kittila received a Fulbright Scholarship to study Western European History at the Goethe University in Frankfurt a.M., Germany.  In 2025, Mr. Kittila received a Certification from Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program in Law Firm Leadership.

Mr. Kittila is a member of the Bars of the States of Delaware and New York, the District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
