Opportunities span government agencies, non-profit organizations, and municipal and state courts in civil, criminal, and family divisions and federal courts, including district, appeals, and bankruptcy courts.

Our recent law school graduates have the unique opportunity to pursue a one-year residency option inspired by medical school residencies. During this program, participants engage in full-time legal practice under close supervision and instruction, delivering a range of legal services to low and moderate-income residents of New Jersey.

As a student at Rutgers Law, you can sharpen your advocacy skills through participation in mock trials and moot courts, competing regionally, nationally, and internationally. Selected students receive training from faculty coaches and legal professionals and represent Rutgers Law in various competitions in different areas such as Mock Trials, Appellate Moot courts, Mediation, Negotiation, and Arbitration.
